In June 2006, Brooke took her first short term mission trip to Costa Rica to serve with a team alongside of Mark and Meg. Brooke and her husband, Matt, began to pray about their involvement in the ministry in the months following her trip. They returned as a couple to Costa Rica in November, 2006. While shadowing Mark and Meg during that trip, God revealed His plan for their family.
Matt and Brooke are working in the Guanacaste area of Costa Rica
in partnership with Calvary Chapel and Potter's Field Kids.
Melinda graduated from Taylor University (IN) in June of 2005 and then went to Costa Rica that summer to begin serving the Lord full time with Christian Light Foundation Costa Rica.
Melinda is in charge of many important areas of the growing ministry such as
hospitality, micro business development, and the discipleship groups in La Carpio.
For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 2 Peter 1:16
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Mathew 28:19
But whoever has the world's goods, and beholds his brother in need and
closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? 1 John 3:17
Rogelio and his wife, Neris, worked alongside of Mark and Meg in the ministry for two years teaching Sunday school and assisting in outreach activities. After that, they started full time in the ministry in July, 2007.
Rogelio is the pastor of the New Life Church of Tejarcillos and is focusing on
teaching, preaching, and leading discipleship groups of youth and adults.
Mark and Meg started language school in Costa Rica in September of 2002, and then began to work full time in the areas of Los Guido and Tejarcillos with Christian Light Ministries in September of 2003.
Mark and Meg oversee the day to day ministry activities
while focusing on teaching God's Word in the discipleship groups.
By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit,
and so prove to be My disciples. John 15:8
